How do I leverage NREIC?

NREIC when faced with COVID originally as most had no idea what was on the horizon, we were simply told we had to shut down our events for the foreseeable future. When that decision was made, we adapted quickly, we used the downtime to rebuild what was once WIC into NREIC, we curated new events formats to meet guidelines and we then hit the online world with zoom events. What we quickly realized was there was a significant difference between zoom events and in person events. The experience though still valuable was not the same and extremely limited. We searched for a new platform to leverage and came across this virtual world - we determined this had an exuberant amount of value propositions for members, their experience and potentially as an NREIC asset to build the community 24/7/ 365. Thus, we introduced the Virtual world. Our intention is to keep this running 24/7/365 while also re introducing our in-person events, allow access to virtual but also in person all in the same night, during one event, accessible to all. Ultimately, we had you; our members and your experience in mind when making this decision and it was the best one to serve you and your needs while our in-person events are temporarily not operational.

Simple, at NREIC we create meaningful and impactful experiences for our members. In-peron events are not operational - thus, we sought to find the most cutting edge, world class, online platform that provided the ultimate experience for you, our members. This platform includes the ability for members to network more often, to be able to leverage this platform any time of day, 365 days a year with or without NREIC’s oversight and provides the closest experience possible to that of an in-person event, including spacial audio, private conversation areas, privacy protected areas, offices, games area, etc. essentially, the future is here and that’s why we’ve brought NREIC virtual world into NREIC’s assets.

• Campus: open campus can be used for registered members 24/7 - 365 days a year. Utilize it for community get togethers, soccer games, whatever, whenever, it is yours to enjoy.

• Events: Events within NREIC’s virtual world will continue to be in motion once a month along with in person events (once we’re able to resume) - however, members can also host mini get togethers or if they have an opportunity to present they can arrange for that as well.

• Areas within our NREIC team suite:

  • NREIC Main: This is our dedicated area for NREIC members to utilize more so as a public and networking space.

  • NREIC Offices: These are for members to leverage and utilize for more private, one on one or small group conversations, in addition they can be leveraged to review properties, upload documents, create presentations, etc.

  • NREIC Overflow: The overflow section is available for members to also utilize in the event that we’re maxed out in our main area - however, this space is not really going to be utilized until we expand into our next province - coming soon.

  • NREIC Manitoba Room: The NREIC Manitoba Room is where all of our larger gatherings and events will be hosted.

  • NREIC VIP: This space is currently accessible to all members, however, NREIC VIP members will have this space dedicated to networking amongst their peers and membership level, this will not be open to NREIC+ members.

NREIC at its last event delivered some news that it was making some changes. Our president, Dakotah Charron had several things in mind - however, that was: member experiences, value and impact. The 3 changes were:

1. Move from a federally registered corporation to a not-for-profit to continue to ensure its sole focus and purpose is to serve its community and continue to reinvest its funds for the same purpose.

2. Introducing NREIC’s virtual world - this ensures a world class experience and event while being forced online and a decision was made to maintain it as a value proposition to NREIC+ members while we host our in-person events once again as well (as soon as restrictions are lifted).

3. Memberships. NREIC has listened to the community, we’ve created tiers and focused once again on being able to offer more value by creating memberships - the reason for this is it allows us a business to better serve our members but also assess incoming revenue vs expenses and build our business accordingly. In addition, we announced an NREIC open platform.

There are many ways for you to leverage NREIC - to preface, we believe that you get what you put in. If you believe NREIC can be your greatest resource and tool, it will be, however, if you’re not engaged and do not put much effort in truly leveraging NREIC then the value and experience you receive will be a direct result of that. Here’s a bullet point form example of the plethora of ways to leverage our community:

• Facebook group & Facebook Grp Chat - our community stays engaged 24/7 to serve one another by way of a Facebook group for questions, requests and resources as well as an active group chat for simple updates, emergencies, etc.

• Opportunity Intake - seeking an opportunity or have an opportunity? Visit our webpage and send your opportunity or search for one to 450+ members.

• Events - Attend our networking events, our biggest value is bringing together active real estate investors in a collaborative environment to network, grow and achieve success, together. We as a community have a collective goal of growth; achieved through sharing resources, off market deals, capital and expertise.

• Resources & Sponsors - Sponsors are our powerhouse. They’ve been carefully selected to represent different “team members” that should ultimately be on your power team. Whether you have any questions or your business is growing - these should be your first and last go-to point of contact in their respective fields. They’ve been carefully interviewed, tested, and selected due to their values, vision, assistance as well as professionalism, service, and knowledge. • Capital - There is a plethora of capital available to you in the community, almost weekly we accept new members that have a desire to be capital partner or JV’s. Network and you shall find.
