Vision is the art of seeing what others can’t…

As the president of NREIC, and a current pandemic, I am left with more time and more ability to create, see the future and ultimately, be the visionary I am proud to be.

This past week, we’ve seen some tremendous strides. 

First though, let’s rewind to day 1. Prior to launching NREIC, formerly known as WIC (Winnipeg investors club), I had been circulating around various events and trying to connect with as many people as possible to quickly elevate myself and my success. After being disappointed for various reasons… How many events did I need to attend to see the same dreamers time and time again? Where were all the high performing business owners and investors? I mean, really… it seemed I was just spinning around in circles while grabbing the odd golden nugget here and there… How many times did I need to hear about the 3 steps to getting started in real estate? I suppose the occasional spin as it was presented by a different speaker with a new investor was where I picked up a thing or two but it got old… real quick.

Then boom, a fire lit inside of me, what is possible? What if there was a community for high performers only, investors who were committed to taking massive action, a network of like minded people who I could network with 24/7. The vision started flooding into my sight.

But wait, it must exist right? 

I began to search online, nothing local (unless I missed the private club that meant underground in late night hours that NOBODY knew of unless you were referred and went through a million hoops to get) - nope, couldn’t even find that. Expand my search? Nope. National? Still nothing - what I found was the same concept over and over again just larger and perhaps much more professional. After careful research I realized this just didn’t simply exit… yet. 

Being the visionary I am, I could paint a picture of what was missing in our world. I knew the journey I’d embark on was either going to be a massive flop or was going to be one of my greatest passion projects & accomplishments.

I began wondering what could be, what ifs… at some points, I was literally dreaming (in the non traditional sense, you know? Daydreaming or something). 

This is the rare gift of a visionary. However, I can wholeheartedly say I am blessed to have that gift. 

Today, 1.5 years later, we have exceeded 300+ members, and have successfully hosted 3 sold out events back to back. Those may be considered as business or personal accolades and likely irrelevant to anybody but myself and the team who is committed to seeing us achieve the level of status we committed to which is to be known as THE most valuable hub for Real Estate investors looking to achieve transformative growth nationwide. However, we’ve heard from members and continue to hear from members about how valuable this group has been, we’ve seen members who have done one or two deals in their lifetime kick it into high gear after attending one event. For example a member who attended our event, met somebody who had just moved from BC and was also attending his first event - they became JV’s and had purchased 2 properties together within 3 weeks of the event they attended. They’ve now raised approx 1M+ and are continuing to crush it, while it's all them and their ability to succeed, we’d like to say, we achieved what we are here for, to be of value to the community and connect members to opportunities; to create an ecosystem for members to build, collaborate, educate and empower one another. 

Today, we see members engaging daily, sharing us endlessly, finding value and building their businesses, once again, daily. Members are reaching out to me personally to see how they can be of value and contribute more to the community and offering to assist in any way possible. I am honoured to say, we have come a long way but we’ve got a much bigger mission and purpose to fulfill, nationally. 

Vision is the art of seeing what others can’t - however, we are beginning to see our community see that vision as well. 2021 is about to be a takeover and we’re blessed that our current community is on the same mission and vision that we are. Even amongst a pandemic which is proving to only kick us in the fastrack. 

A quick thank you to my amazing wife for guiding me, seeing the endless hours of hard work and dedication and cheering me on. A massive thank you goes out to our community and day ones who have been with us since the beginning and continue to be with us today. Thank you to my team who I have been able to connect with and meet. Nothing is possible with a team. Thank you to my amazing mentors and our amazing sponsors who have been able to also see the vision and become part of it.
